“I love to create dramatic, bold images with eye catching colour whilst trying to retain a fragile, ethereal quality. I am usually trying to capture or translate something that I find very beautiful, but I hope to produce something more than just a ‘pretty picture’, so I attempt to inject a high dose of emotion into them. For this reason, as an artist, my emotions must be accessible and therefore close to the surface to enable me to utilise them to my advantage, however, as you can imagine this also has a down side in that I can be too vulnerable to negative emotions. As long as I use this to feed my passion and my work I know I will be fine. I love to travel and my vision is to share my work across the globe, the long term goal is to spread a message and an awareness of how we live our lives. Ultimately, if I can help people through my art, or at least inspire others, I will be happy.” - Holly Sharpe. Learn more about the artist here.
